LINCC Frameworks Research Scientist

Tianqing Zhang finished graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on weak gravitational lensing analysis and its sources of systematics, including point spread function (PSF) and photometric redshift. He is involved in the LSST Dark Energy Science Collaboration, is currently a co-convener of the PSF working group, and is an active member of the weak lensing, photometric redshift, and Rubin commissioning team. He is passionate about working towards sub-percent precision for the weak lensing cosmology. Tianqing is also involved in the cosmological analysis of the Subaru Hyper-Suprime Cam. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring nature and spotting Messier galaxies.
