I am interested in all things asteroid- and comet-related, with a particular focus on active asteroids and main-belt comets, which I study using a combination of targeted observations, archival data analysis, survey data analysis, dynamical integrations, and thermal modeling. Given Rubin Observatory’s much greater sensitivity over previous and current survey telescopes, I am particularly interested to see what LSST reveals in terms of the occurrence of comet-like activity in objects and populations that have been previously understood to be inactive. I am the former lead of the Solar System Science Collaboration’s Community Software and Infrastructure Development Working Group (a position I held for 6 years), and the current lead of the SSSC’s Active Objects Working Group and current member of the LSST Science Advisory Committee.
